I first discovered Sheryl Sandberg when I picked up her book, Lean In , several years ago when I was struggling with life. At that time in the fall of 2013, I was still recovering from the complications of a difficult pregnancy from the birth of my second son earlier in February. I was reaching new levels of stress as I was returning back to work full-time. I was adjusting to having a toddler and a newborn, and at that time our family temporarily was living with extended family as were in the process of moving. In addition, my husband was often away traveling for work, and my physical health was not good. Life was chaotic at every angle it seemed.
Sheryl's words were very encouraging, and often, I look to her to lift me up in moments where I needed guidance in such a hectic time in my life. Last Spring, Sheryl shared her story with CBS This Morning News in an interview with Norah O'Donnell. Listen to Sheryl's strong, empowering, and eloquent words. She had just released Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resilience, and Finding Joy--a book she authored with Adam Grant.
